(Pendekatan Desain Arsitektur Neo-Vernakular)
Abstract
Kabupaten Merauke is one of the districts with a high food need for poultry meat and eggs, so with the increase in population, the demand for poultry meat and eggs also increases. According to the Livestock and Animal Health Office of Merauke Regency, it has quite a good potential in the development of poultry farming; where in the years (2016-2020)there was an increase in egg production and poultry meat, reaching 2,563,046 kg (2016) to 4,445,519 kg (2020) meat and 949,157 kg (2016) to 3,576,945 kg (2020) eggs. So it is necessary to have a poultry meat and egg production center equipped with infrastructure to meet these food needs. The research uses a descriptive method by collecting data from interviews and questionnaires, direct documentation of the object of study, and some literature data from books, journals, and Google regarding related standards and regulations. The facilities and infrastructure designed include management office building facilities, broiler chicken coops, laying hen coops, duck cages, and supporting facilities. The neo-vernacular architecture approach in poultry meat and egg production centers can be seen by combining traditional architectural elements, such as ornaments and stained-glass windows, with modern features, such as large windows and sliding doors, and optimizing space utilization.
